Project Scope
Our Client in phillppines distribution center was not adequate to meet exponential growth of their customer needs. The company had steadily grown and lacked the space to store and handle its ever-growing line of products. The old system basically put inventory on 3m height racking and the racking system was limited by warehouse height.
Knowing the situation would challenge the company even more as it grew, They rented a new warehouse and found Heda Shelves to design their new storage racking system.
The company basically wanted to have more space — and needed the new facility to be scalable, so that as the company grew, it could adapt its current receiving and shipping operations to grow naturally as product lines were added and customer demands increased.
The Solution-Double Deep Racking System
Our client approached Heda Shelves with specifications for their new facility, detailing the dimensions and pallet sizes for all loaded inventory. They requested that incoming items be placed into bulk storage using pallet racks immediately upon arrival. Their inventory distribution included 80% long-term products and 20% high turnover products.
In response, we designed a 6-tier double-deep racking system to optimize vertical space utilization. This configuration allows for the efficient storage of similar products as they arrive at the warehouse. Additionally, smaller items will be accommodated on selective pallet racking located in the side areas of the facility.
