Project Scope In Bolivia, a building materials supplier faced significant challenges in its warehouse operations. The existing storage system was inefficient, leading to difficulties in material handling and management. As the company expanded, the need for a more effective storage solution became critical to enhance productivity and streamline operations.   The Solution: Cantilever Racking System   To address these challenges, we proposed a comprehensive design for optimizing the warehouse using a cantilever racking system. This solution was tailored to accommodate the unique requirements of storing various building materials, including long and heavy items such as lumber and pipes. After conducting a thorough site survey and engaging in management consultations, we initiated the installation of a cantilever racking system tailored to meet specific storage needs in two modular designs: horizontal and vertical. The horizontal cantilever racking is primarily intended for long-term storage of items such as steel pipes and fittings. Its compact design optimizes space utilization by reducing aisle widths, allowing for greater flexibility in moving products around. Meanwhile, the vertical cantilever racking is installed against walls and is designed to accommodate high-turnover inventory efficiently. This dual approach not only maximizes the available storage area but also enhances accessibility, ensuring that both long and frequently accessed items can be stored effectively.

The existing selective pallet racking system limited the warehouse's ability to maximize vertical space and accommodate increasing stock levels. The Solution-Drive-in Racking System After assessing the warehouse layout and understanding our client's requirements, we proposed a transition from selective pallet racking to a drive-in racking system. This innovative approach allows forklifts to drive directly into the racking structure, enabling multiple pallets to be stored in a single lane. The design significantly increases storage density by utilizing depth rather than width, making it an ideal choice for high-volume inventory management. Benefits of Drive-In Racking Systems Maximized Storage Capacity: Drive-in racking systems can increase storage capacity by up to 75% compared to traditional selective racks, allowing businesses to store more products in the same footprint. Project Scope Our Client in phillppines distribution center was not adequate to meet exponential growth of their customer needs. The company had steadily grown and lacked the space to store and handle its ever-growing line of products. The old system basically put inventory on 3m height racking and the racking system was limited by warehouse height. Knowing the situation would challenge the company even more as it grew, They rented a new warehouse and found Heda Shelves to design their new storage racking system. The company basically wanted to have more space — and needed the new facility to be scalable, so that as the company grew, it could adapt its current receiving and shipping operations to grow naturally as product lines were added and customer demands increased.   The Solution-Double Deep Racking System Our client approached Heda Shelves with specifications for their new facility, detailing the dimensions and pallet sizes for all loaded inventory. They requested that incoming items be placed into bulk storage using pallet racks immediately upon arrival. Their inventory distribution included 80% long-term products and 20% high turnover products. In response, we designed a 6-tier double-deep racking system to optimize vertical space utilization. This configuration allows for the efficient storage of similar products as they arrive at the warehouse. Additionally, smaller items will be accommodated on selective pallet racking located in the side areas of the facility.

  Our Clients build a new supermarket and contacts Heda Shelves for the manufacture and installation of a supermarket display rack system.   In this customized supermarket shelf case, the customer has special demand for display effect, and needs to install side panels on both sides of the gondola shelf to place advertising messages.
